Steven Roccazzella
Steven Roccazzella has been practicing the Wim Hof Method since 2016. He has been instructing since 2019. As a practitioner, Steven used the method to help deal with anxiety and depression. In his 13 years as a law enforcement and correctional officer, Steven developed chronic pain, depression, PTSD, and panic disorder. He used pharmaceuticals to help manage this disease until a series of deep personal losses sent him into a state of sadness, suicidal thoughts, and depression that not even the pills could help him manage. At the suggestion of a friend, Steven listened to a podcast with a guest by the name of Wim Hof. Steven was inspired by Wim’s own personal story of loss and sadness and how he used the cold to overcome. Wim’s charisma and confidence gave Steven what he needed to try the breathing and take cold showers. After one year of daily practice, Steven was 60lbs lighter, he tripled his testosterone, and completely severed his dependence on pharmaceuticals.
In 2018 Steven met Wim Hof and was inspired to start the journey of becoming an instructor. Since graduating from the Wim Hof academy in 2019, Steven has been teaching classes and workshops on breath work and cold exposure. In 2020 he relocated to Nashville and has been bringing the practice to athletes, musicians, executives, entrepreneurs, and both clients and practitioners in the treatment and recovery community. There he work’s specifically with people dealing with trauma, depression, and many of the same struggles Steven himself has endured.
